Myrel Frances Reed Gilbert of Rutherfordton, passed away May 30, 2021.
A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of Henry Virgil and Nettie Brooks Reed and wife of George Garland Gilbert.
In addition to her parents, Myrel was preceded in death by her sisters, Naomi Giles, Dorothy Landers, Mildred Thomas and brother, James Paul Reed.
Left to cherish her memory are four children: Daniel Hicks Gilbert and wife Gale of Rutherfordton; Connie Ho and husband, Michael of North Myrtle Beach, SC; Carrie Taylor of Rutherfordton; Joy Huckno and husband Wally of Myrtle Beach, SC. Also, eight grand-children and six great-grand-children.
The Funeral Service will be at 2 O'clock PM on June 19th at Spencer Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Caldwell officiating. The Family will receive friends from 1-2 PM in the Family Life Center of Spencer Church.
