Myrle Gossett, age 87, of Chesnee, SC passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025.

Myrle was born March 25, 1938 in Rutherford County to the late Clyde Radford and Dorothy Williams Radford.

She worked in the bakery for 25 years at Turners Cafeteria in Chesnee. She also owned and operated Myrle's Bakery for several years. Myrle was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Gossett; sisters, Peggy Scruggs, Patsy Martin; brothers, Wayne, Wade and Donald Radford and a daughter-in-law, Rhonda Gossett.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of almost 70 years, Howard Gossett; sons, Jerry Gossett (Anne) of Rutherfordton and Terry Gossett of Mill Spring,; daughter, Vickie Bradley (Bruce) of Chesnee; brother, Ronald Radford (Debbie) of Chesnee; grandchildren, Jeremy Gossett of Inman, SC, Tina Williams (Michael) of Rutherfordton, Chad Gossett of Mill Spring, Tonya Odel (John) of Mill Spring, Kelly Johnson (Janice) of Spartanburg, Ashley Martin (Ricky) of Chesnee; 13 great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held 12pm Thursday, April 24 at Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Clay Collins and Rev. Sean McKaig officiating. Interment will follow at Springhill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
