Nancy Blake Hartley

Nancy Blake Hartley, Rutherfordton, N.C. passed away October 31, 2022.

Nancy was born and raised in New Hampshire.

She served as Lay Minister at the East Barre Congregational Church in Vermont. For many years, she and husband, William Hartley, enjoyed RVing and they traveled to all but one of the United States and Canadian provinces. In 1993 she and Bill moved to Rutherfordton. Following a liver transplant, Nancy became a vocal advocate for opt-out organ donation.

She will be missed and remembered by those who loved her including her sons and their families, and her many friends.

In lieu of cards or flowers donations may be made to Rutherfordton Hospice, Donate Life or First United Methodist Church Rutherfordton.

A family directed memorial service was held November 30 at the First United Methodist Church Rutherfordton.
