Nancy Childers, age 72

Nancy Childers, age 72, of Forest City, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022.

Nancy was born January 26, 1950 in Rutherford County to the late George Greene and Willie Mae Grice Greene. She was a graduate of East Rutherford High School. Nancy worked in textiles for many years and later as a CNA for Autumn Care. She was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge #2422. Nancy attended Cooper Springs Congregational Holiness Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Robert Vernon Greene; sister, Annie Pearl Cole and two nephews, Jermy and Josh Cole.

Left to cherish fond memories are daughter, Shannon Childers (Rod Lopez) of Palm Springs, CA; granddaughter, Victoria Ashley Childers-Lopez of Palms Springs, CA; five nephews, three great nephews, and one great-niece.

The funeral service was held May 20, at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Allen Terry and Rev. Randy Church officiating.

Memorial donations requested to House of Deliverance.
