Natalie Shull McLain Costner, 63 of Shelby

Natalie Shull McLain Costner, 63 of Shelby, NC passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026.

Natalie was born December 30, 1962 in Greenwood, SC to the late Z.R. Shull and Linda Eaker.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two sons, Wesley Lee McLain (Scooter) and Henry Alcie McLain III (Tracy); stepmother, Virginia Estep Shull; brother, Z.R. Shull, Jr.; cousin, Donna Stallings.

Natalie is survived by her husband of 17 years, Robert Wayne Costner (Robbie); sister, Rhonda Shull; three nieces, Jessica Hinson, Leah Garren and Sabrina Pressley; a nephew, Zeddie Shull; four great -nephews, Riddick and Nolan Hinson; Dominic and Done Davis; cousins, Teresa Fraser, Alice Malary and Danielle Terry; beloved friends, Sonja and David Greene, Kim Beaver; God-son, Mark "P-Nut" Beaver (Melania); God-grandsons, Isaiah and Zane Beaver.

Natalie was a member of Way of the Cross Freewill Baptist Church.

The funeral was held April 11 at Way of the Cross Freewill Baptist Church of Shelby with Rev. Jeffery Flowers officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Way of the Cross Freewill Baptist Church, 875 East Zion Church Rd., Shelby, NC 28150.
