NC State Special Olympics held recently in Raleigh

Rutherford County Rollers Bowling Team brought home the silver award at the North Carolina Special Olympics recently in Raleigh. Team members are (left to right) Dakota Collins, Yanessa Ortiz, Amber Dysert, and Timothy Wells.

The Rutherford County Special Olympics teams are coached by Robin Parsons, exceptional children's teacher, Chase High School. Assisting Parsons were Chrystal West and Traci White.

Tea Crawford, Rutherford County gymnast, brought home the silver medal for the balance beam and a gold medal for vault, bars, floor exercise, and all-around gymnast.

Rutherford County Rollers Doubles Team of Brendan "Twink" Thompson (left) and Billy Callahan brought home the gold medal.

Rutherford County Rollers Bowling Doubles Team Steven Camp (left) and Michael Cobb brought home the fourth place ribbon.
