Nellie T. Condrey, age 89

Nellie T. Condrey, age 89 of Ellenboro died Saturday, February 4, 2023.

Nellie was born August 17, 1933, in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Clemit B. Terry and Jeanette Davidson Terry. She was one of ten brothers and sisters some of which she helped raise.

Nellie was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert M. Condrey, her son, Ross Condrey, her grandson, Herbert Pritchard, brothers, Jerry Terry, Dural Terry, C. B. Terry, sisters, Tillie Props, Maxine Greene, and Brenda Manley.

For many years she and her husband were owners and operators of Condrey's Restaurant in Ellenboro. After Herbert's death in 1986, she continued to operate the restaurant until her retirement.

Survivors include daughter, Drema Anne Taylor, brothers, Bruce Terry, Carolyn Curtis, and Geraldine Gibson, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held February 8 at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Conner and Rev. Ad Hopper officiating.
