Norma Gale Laughter, 77, of Rutherfordton

Norma Gale Laughter, 77, of Rutherfordton, continued on her sole journey to the eternal realm in July 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Copeland Laughter and V.H. Laughter, both of Rutherfordton.

Surviving are one sister, Janice Laughter, and one brother, David Laughter, both of Rutherford County, as well as numerous cousins and friends.

Gail was a graduate of N.C. State University, a published poet, trained pilot, and an experienced equestrian. She was also a compassionate philanthropist and defender of wildlife. Her thirst for knowledge knew no bounds. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, offbeat sense of humor, and her love for all animals, both wild and domestic.

Her ashes were scattered in the forest she knew and loved, where she played many years of her childhood, and lived out the final years of her life. May her soul rest in peace.
