Norris Public Library is planning their next five years and wants community input to help shape the library's future. The library celebrated 100 of service in 2021 and is now looking ahead, seeking new ways to bring great programs, books, video games and more to Rutherfordton.

Co/Lab Capacity, a strategic planning consultant, is conducting a community survey that can be accessed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NPLStrategy, as well as on the library's website and social media. The ten-minute survey invites participants to weigh in on what programs they would like to see for children, teens, and adults; what would encourage or allow them to use the library more often; and what the library can do to improve their experience over the next five years.

"Norris Public Library is passionate about connecting with our community and providing exceptional service. Every survey response helps us learn more about the people we serve - what they want and need, and what they dream about accomplishing. We want everyone in the community to feel that this is their library, and we invite them to share how we can support them with services, programs, technology, and more," says Library Director Sarah Ross.

This strategic planning process is supported by the Town of Rutherfordton and the Norris Library Foundation, a 501(c)3. The community survey will run through Sunday, October 9.

The library is located at 132 North Main Street, Rutherfordton. Call for more information 828-287-3520, Ext. 3.
