Norris V. Dobbins, age 92

Norris V. Dobbins, age 92, of Rutherfordton, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020.

He was a native of Rutherford County. Norris was the widower of the late Marjorie Conner Dobbins. Norris was a U.S. Navy 2nd officer and he served for 37 years.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Dobbins, and five sisters, Katie Arrowood, Alice Ciancillo, Ruby Debrule, Reba Avinate and Ann Whitfield. Survivors include: Two Daughters: Debbie Watts (Ronnie), Denise Crook (Chris). Two Sons: Keith Dobbins (Kathy), Gregory Dobbins, Thirteen Grandchildren, twenty six Great-Grandchildren, and three Great-Great-Grandchildren

A graveside service was held at Rutherfordton City Cemetery with military honors by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Interment followed at Rutherfordton City Cemetery.
