Octavia "Dot" Callahan, age 92

Octavia "Dot" Callahan, age 92, of Bostic, NC, passed away December 6, 2021.

She was the daughter of the late Edgar and Etta Callahan, and a Rutherford County native. Dot was a former member of Alexander Baptist Church. She was the cook at Ron and Eddy's for over 50 years.

In addition to her parents, Dot was preceded in death by a son, James Nelson Greene, and a son-in-law, Bobby McMahan.

Dot is survived by daughters, Nancy Greene McMahan, Marsha Ann Callahan Toni Callahan Ferguson, and husband Matthew, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.

A memorial service was held at McMahan's Funeral Home December 9, 2021. Chaplin Densie Griggs, and Mark McMahan officiated.
