Olof Magnus Carlson Jr, 83

Olof Magnus Carlson Jr, 83, of Rutherfordton, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015.

A native of Detroit, MI, he was the son of the late Olof Magnus Carlson Sr and Ruth Heeb Carlson. He was a retired US Navy Aviator, serving in Vietnam. He was a member of Word of Faith Fellowship.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Sallie Davies Carlson of the home; sons Eric Magnus Carlson of Panama, Kristofer David Carlson and wife Clare of Rutherfordton, Peter Thomas Carlson and wife Wendy of Yorktown, VA; seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Memorial services were held at Word of Faith Fellowship with Revs. Sam and Jane Whaley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Word of Faith Christian School, 207 Old Flynn Road, Spindale, NC 28160.
