Out of town youth making a difference

Young people and their leaders from Indiana and Long Island, New York, are in Rutherford County this week helping nonprofit groups with several projects. These guys were seen at the Salvation Army Thrift Store on Main Street in Forest City Monday morning clearing some of the property of brush and debris. Other youth worked inside the store Monday. Throughout the week they've worked at other nonprofits and Thursday (today) they are at Washburn Community Outreach Center in Bostic assisting with the weekly food distribution and inside the thrift store.
