The Forest City Owls spent some time recently working with Habitat for Humanity on senior housing apartments on Illinois Street, Spindale while the First United Methodist Church group was working on multiple houses on Pennsylvania Ave and Illinois Street.

Stephanie Blatnicky, Director of Baseball Operations for the Forest City Owls, coordinated with the team to make the build happen. This is the Owls' fifth time building with Habitat. To date Habitat has built 87 homes in Rutherford County with two more under construction as well as the senior housing apartments. Habitat has plans to start two more new homes this year.
