Paul Carpenter Wylie, 87, of Shelby, NC passed away October 13, 2022.
Paul was born in Blacksburg, SC December 21, 1934, to parents Robert E. Wylie and Pauline "Polly" Wylie.
Paul graduated from Blacksburg High School and went on to enlist in the Army. He served a couple of years and then went to work for Coca-Cola for 30 years.
He met the love of his life and wife of 64 years, Daisy Hamrick-Wylie, and married 1958.
He attended First Baptist Church of Shelby.
Paul is preceded in death by his wife, Daisy, son, Chris, parents Robert and Pauline Wylie, and brothers John and Robert.
He is survived by his son Todd, three grandchildren, two brothers Alvin and Ray Wylie, and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held October 19 at First Baptist Church downtown Shelby.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting gifts be made to the Cleveland Community College Nursing Program scholarship that was established in his wife, Daisy Wylie's, honor. Memorial gifts may be made via check or online to the CCC Foundation with the memo "in honor of Daisy and Paul Wylie."
