Pauline "Polly" McCombs Hutchins, age 86

Pauline "Polly" McCombs Hutchins, age 86, of Rutherfordton, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018.

She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Herbert McCombs and the late Maggie Honeycutt McCombs. She was a member of Wilson Baptist Church and was a generous, loving Christian woman who was a friend to many. She worked for fifteen years at Stonecutter Mills, fifteen years at Burlington Mills and twenty-five years at the Spindale Washerette. She was always ready to help people out, was loved by many and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Hutchins, two sisters; Edith Morrison and Edna Yelton, one grandson and a great granddaughter.

She is survived by: Two Sons: Larry Hutchins and his wife Sylvia of Rutherforton Billy Hutchins and his husband Skip Austin of Sanford, NC. One Sister: Lillian Oliff of Maryland. One Brother: Robert McCombs and his wife Margaret of Rutherfordton. Two Granddaughters. She is also survived by various brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was held at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Forest City.
