Peggy Jean Hill Huffstickler, 81

Peggy Jean Hill Huffstickler, 81, passed away July 6, 2022.

Peggy was born October 1, 1940, in Tryon, NC. She attended R.S. Central High School. She continued her education at Mars Hill and Appalachian State and graduated in 1962 with a degree in Elementary Education.

Peggy was a loving wife, mother, and teacher, who taught for Gaston County Schools for over 30 years. She attended Piedmont Baptist Church, Rutherfordton Parkwood Baptist Church, Brookleigh Baptist Church, Linwood Church of God and Union Road Church, Gastonia.

Preceding her in death was her mother, Pantha "Pat" Hill, dad, Earl Hill, brothers Bobby, Howard, and Steve Hill all from Spindale/Forest City. She is survived by her husband, Dean Huffstickler, children, Chuck Huffstickler (wife Kish) of Gastonia, Jeanne Thompson (husband Marc) of Gastonia, and Chris Huffstickler (wife Heidi) of Waxhaw, five grandchildren, loving sisters-in-law, Charlene Jones and Mary Hill and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held at Union Road Church on July 15.
