Perry Dean Stephens, age 63 of Forest City died Saturday, June 13, 2026.

Perry was born March 12, 1963, in Rutherford County and was the son of the late Jack Perry Stephens and Ammie Lou Hogan Stephens.

He worked in Chemical Processing in the Control Room at Aurgia Polymers in Spartanburg with 41 years service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lana Jean Stephens, and father-in-law, George (Buddy) Owens.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy Owens Stephens, his sons, Jack Stephens (Randi) of Lexington, SC, Josh Stephens of Jonesville, SC, his daughter, Ashely Stephens Morrison (Michael) of Forest City, his sister, Janet Stephens Forrest (Danette Canup) of High Point, his mother-in-law, Janie Faye Owens of Forest City, and his four grandchildren, McKenzie Stephens, Harper Stephens, DeHaven Morrison and Sawyer Stephens.

The funeral was held June 20 in The Padgett and King Chapel with Rev. Tripp Queen officiating.
