Phemelia Steadman Thompson, age 92

Phemelia Steadman Thompson, age 92, of Rutherfordton, died March 3, 2022.

She was the daughter of the late Sammy and Effie Owens Steadman and a native of Rutherford County. She was preceded in death by her first husband Arthur Thompson and her second husband Reverend Leslie Thompson. Phemelia was also preceded in death by her daughter; Martha Jane Blanton, her brothers; James Steadman and Paul Steadman; sisters; Melvie Amos, Florence Martin and Dora Morrow. She was a member of the Gray's Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by son Larry A. Thompson (Peggy), four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, son-in-law David Blanton and sister-in-law Opal Thompson and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held March 6, 2022 at Gray's Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Ezell officiating.
