Phillip Stanley (Phil) Ledford, age 77 of Forest City

Phillip Stanley (Phil) Ledford, age 77 of Forest City died Thursday, July 16, 2026. Phil as he was known to his family and friends was born October 28, 1948, in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Roy Everett Ledford and Bonnie McAbee Ledford.

Phil worked for Mastercraft Corporation where he retired as a department manager in the Warping /Slashing Department. He was a member of Forest Lake Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon, a former member of the choir and a Sunday School teacher. For many years he was a coach in Minor League Baseball.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Steve Ledford and Mike Ledford, and his sister, Peggy Ledford West.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sandra Tate Ledford, his sons, Mitch Ledford and wife Susan, Todd Ledford and wife Jeni, and Eric Ledford and wife Adrienne all of Forest City, his daughter, Kim Ledford Padgett and husband George of Cliffside, and his sister, Darlene White and husband Wayne of Shingle Hollow, 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held July 21 at Forest Lake Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Smith and Pastor Wayne Stafford officiating.
