Pletz Oscar Johnston, age 73, of Henrietta, passed away Monday, July 25, 2022.
Pletz was born May 3, 1949 in Logan County, WV to the late David Ruffis Johnston, Sr. and Freda Mae Foust Johnston.
He worked for Spindale Mills for over 30 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Cora Hatfield and daughter, Angie Kiser.
Left to cherish fond memories are his life partner, Sheila Huckabee; daughters, Kay Kiser, Christine Kiser and a special niece, Margie Shepard, eight grandchildren and one great grandkid. He is also survived by brothers, David Ruffis Johnston, Jr. and James Johnston (Sandra) all of Bruno, West Virginia, Roy Rodger Johnston (Lois) of Henrietta; sisters, Virgie Stanley of Forest City and Violet Lorena Campbell (Donald) of Henrietta and a brother-in-law, Lionel Hatfield; along with multiple nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held at Faith Praise and Worship Ministries in Forest City with Bishop Mark E. Lattimore officiating.
