Ray Hodge, age 85

Ray Hodge, age 85, of Forest City, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023.

Ray was born April 1, 1938 in Rutherford County to the late Curtis Hodge and Flossie Vickers Hodge. He worked for Clements Logging for many years and for Tru-Pack. Ray was a member of Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughters, Darlene Hodge Brooks and Donna Hodge; son, Bruce Hodge; grandchildren, Andrew Hodge and Little Debbie Hodge; and a brother, Frank Hodge.

Those left to treasure his memory include his daughters, Debbie Butler (Ricky Brooks) of Ellenboro, Cindy Conner of Forest City and Wanda Hodge of Union Mills; son, Billy Hodge (Betty) of Shallotte, SC; brother, Bobby Hodge (Imogene) of Forest City and sister, Jeanette Owens (Benny) of Cane Creek, seventeen grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

A gathering to celebrate Ray's life took place September 14 at Mt. Hebron United Methodist.
