Chase Corner Community Ministries was established in 1979 by a cooperative effort of six United Methodist Churches working together to address community needs at that time. Several of the local mills had shut down and many families were in need of a helping hand.

R-S Central hit nine more free throws, Arnie Twitty played a huge factor for 17 points and East Rutherford rarely got more than one shot down the floor. Those are the reasons why R-S Central (15-5, 5-1) grabbed the regular season sweep.
