The last two deer seasons are illustrations in extremes. There was only one other year that I can remember an acorn drought as bad as last year’s was. And this year’s abundance of acorns is equally as uncommon. The deer are not having to move very much or very far in order to get to ample food. As a result, seeing fields full of bucks and does has been and will be, rare. Last year, sightings were almost a daily occurrence.
