Rev. Dr. Robert Thad Parsons, Jr. left this world for his home in Heaven Tuesday, March 21, 2023.

He leaves his wife Gwen; son, Robert Thad Parsons III; stepchildren, Tami Scism, Tracy Stafford (Steve), Jeffery Scism (Bryte); grandchildren, Etta and Mina and their mother, Jill Parsons, Aimee White (Greg), Jessica White (Guy), Christopher Hoyle, Jereka Stafford, Maegan Scism and Linkin Scism; nine greatgrandchildren, sisters, Shirley Rogers, Marie Lang (Wayne) and Charity Steele (Gene).

Robert pastored several churches in his 50 years of service for the Lord. He taught 12 years at Gardner Webb University.

Funeral Services were held March 24 at New Bethel Church of Shelby, 706 Hamrick Street, Shelby.
