Reverend Jerry Ruppe, age 83, of Bostic

Reverend Jerry Ruppe, age 83, of Bostic, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

Jerry was born August 30, 1943 in Rutherford County to the late Henry Ruppe and Pearl Melton Ruppe. He was the owner and operator of Ruppe's Auto Body Shop for 40 years. His greatest desire was to serve the Lord and ministered as the Pastor of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Golden Valley for 36 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a special brother-in-law, Jimmy Jolley.

Those left to honor his legacy include his wife of 46 years, Freida Ruppe; daughters, Darlene Gilbert, Lisa Ruppe and Donna McNeily; son, Scott Ruppe and sister, Myrle Mills, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.

A memorial service was held September 28 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Joshua Lindsey and Rev. Jackie Price officiating.
