Richard Scott Burnette, age 68

Richard Scott Burnette, age 68 of Forest City died Sunday, February 5, 2023.

Scott was born in Rutherford County December 27, 1954, a son of the late Howard Franklin Burnett and Martha Patterson Burnett. He was blessed with a successful career in Textiles. He was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Alicia Burnette, daughter, Angel Whiteside and husband Brandon and their five children, all of Rutherfordton, daughter, Licia Turner and husband John of Gallatin, TN and their daughter, daughter, Cindy Johnson of Maiden and her two children, brother, Franklin Burnett and wife Judy and their three children.

The funeral was held February 10 in The Padgett and King Chapel with the Rev. Joey Pitts officiating.
