Robert Ayers, age 80, of Cliffside, NC, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023.
He was born in Harris, NC, attended Chase High School and then served 9 years in the Army. He was retired from Timken in Gaffney.
He is predeceased by his daughter, Tammy Ayers; parents, Robert Ayers, Sr. and Emma Gooden Ayers; brother, Dewitt Ayers; sisters, Ruth Ayers, Lois Ayers Parton, Mary Henson, Ruby Campbell and Juanita Roper.
Robert, Jr. leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughters, Sheila Ayers and Sherry Hinson; son, Robert David Ayers; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12pm Saturday, May 6 at Prospect Baptist Church Social Hall, 2610 Prospect Church Rd., Mooresboro NC 28114.
