Robert "Bob" Henson, age 83

Robert "Bob" Henson, age 83, of Gaffney, SC, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023.

Bob was born July 20, 1939 in Rutherford County to the late Samuel James Henson and Fannie Belle Greene Henson. He worked for Gaffney Manufacturing and Timken Industries for 25 years before retirement. He was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Henson; four brothers, Bill, Dick, Jerry and John Henson; three sisters, Jean Robbins, Jo Henson and Nell Hardin.

Left to cherish fond memories include his wife of almost 65 years, Evelyn Cole Henson; sons, Kenny Henson (Sheila) of Cowpens and Keith Henson (Patty) of Gaffney; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held June 24 at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Moneyham and Rev. James Henson officiating.
