Robert Calvin Wilson, age 88

Robert Calvin Wilson, age 88 of Lake Lure, NC died March 21, 2022.

Robert was born July 14, 1933, in Rutherford County and was the son of the late Cal and Novella Nanney Wilson.

He was a member of Chimney Rock Baptist Church. Robert worked for General Instruments in Fairview. He was a graduate of Lake Lure High School and served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Ruth Searcy, Pat Flynn, and Dot Randall.

Surviving is his son, Robert Wilson and wife Aimee of Sapphire and five grandchildren.

The funeral service was held March 25, 2022, at Chimney Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Alex Heafner officiating. Military Honors were accorded by Rutherford County Honor Guard.
