Robert Ernest Runnels, age 77

Robert Ernest Runnels, age 77 passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018.

A resident of Spindale, Robert was a native of Tucson, AZ and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He served on the USS Los Angeles from 1959 - 1965 and was an avid fisherman, a fan of John Wayne films and loved watching the Forest City Owls play ball.

Robert is survived by his wife, Elvie of the home; one son Robert C. Runnels; one daughter Chandra R. Mueller; two stepsons James and Raymond Meadows; two grandchildren; one brother Solis Runnels; one sister Jean Ritter; as well as a number of other friends and family members.

A celebration of Robert's life was held at Sulphur Springs Holiness Church, Forest City.

Crowe's Mortuary and Crematory is serving the family.
