Robert Pitt Kornegay, 66, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016
"Bob" was a permaculturist, lecturer, writer, and welder from Dallas, TX. He settled in Hendersonville, NC to help with the formation of the self-sustaining Eco-village at Mother Earth News, and later became a fixture at Eco-villages around the world.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Kornegay, of Dallas, TX; and his mother, Joyce Franklin Ross, of Chattanooga, TN.
He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Ross Chadwick, of Rocky Face, GA; daughter, Jade Kornegay Lanzetta of Asheville; two sons, Eric Kornegay of Fairfield, CA, and Michael Kornegay of Raleigh; and one grandson of Asheville.
A memorial service to be held in the Spring.
Arrangements are entrusted to Robert S. Morgan, Jr., Funeral Service Licensee, LLC of Fallston.
