The elementary students of Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy collected roofing nails during February to support the Women Roofers and give back to their community. Accepting the donation on behalf of Rutherford Housing Partnership (RHP) are, from left, Nell Perry Bovender, Jane Alexander Bell, Teri Whisnant and Lynn Blanton.
The Women Roofers celebrate their 20th anniversary in 2022. Locally, the Women Roofers provide labor and RHP provides materials for qualified low-income homeowners needing urgent repairs to their homes.
