Roy Dean Johnson, age 86, of Rutherfordton passed away Friday, January 22, 2021.
Dean was a native of Lancaster, SC, widow of Violet Brown Johnson, son of the late Roy and Myrtle Hill Johnson, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and the U.S. Navy.
Left to cherish his memories are his children Annette Cooper (Trevor), Myra Brown, Ann Guffey and Joey Johnson (Ginger); sisters Gilda Sims, Brenda Mathis, Betty Patterson and Gail Swafford; 10 Grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church.
