Roy "Steve" Huskey, age 70

Roy "Steve" Huskey, age 70, of Mooresboro, passed away May 9, 2022.

Steve was born November 1, 1951 in Cleveland County to the late Charles Fletcher Huskey and Ruby Norman Huskey. He served in the US Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Steve was a pilot during the war. He worked on offshore oil rigs and was an oil platform operator. He was a member of Chase Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James Michael Huskey.

Left to cherish fond memories are son, Brian Huskey (Jen) of Charlotte; daughter, Stephanie Dobbins of Mooresboro; brother, Charles Michael Huskey (Nancy) of Raleigh; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild.

A graveside service was held May 17 at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Scott Butler and Mr. Cody Dobbins officiating. Military honors were accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
