Ruby Elizabeth Tallent Skinner, 82

Ruby Elizabeth Tallent Skinner, 82, of Mooresboro, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. 

A native of Cleveland County, she was born on June 05, 1931, a daughter of the late Michael Suson and Johnnie Moore Tallent. She was a graduate of Mooresboro High School. She worked for ten years as a Pharmacy Technician at Walmart and also as a CNA at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. She was also a homemaker and a loving mother. She was a longtime faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Barry Lynn Skinner; one brother, Joe Martin Tallent; one sister, Shirley Tallent Allen. She is survived by her husband, Ben Joel Skinner; three sons, Danny Joel Skinner, Lanny Dean Skinner, and Scott Wayne Skinner and wife Pam; one brother, Herman Thomas Tallent; two sisters, Ruth Tallent Grant and Faye Tallent Grant; her grandchildren, Jared Skinner, Justin Skinner, Joshua Skinner, Lindsay Skinner, Jackie Skinner, and D.J. Skinner; her great grandchildren, Bethany Skinner, Ashlynn Skinner, and Brilee Skinner.

A Celebration of Mrs. Skinner’s Life was held at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Frazier and Rev. Dr. Jim Richardson officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
