Pictured are the members of the Rutherford Church of Christ, breaking ground for a new 5000 square foot building. The church is currently renting a building on US 221 North on Rutherfordton, 1/2 mile north of RS Central High School, where they have conducted services since July 2009. The church recently purchased a tract of land located adjacent to the property they rent now. Grading for the construction is expected to begin within the next couple weeks, with completion expected by the end of May.
Services are conducted each Sunday, with Bible Study at 9:30AM, worship at 10:30AM, and evening worship at 6:00PM. The church meets for mid-week Bible Study on Thurday at 7:00PM. Everyone is welcome at their 953 US 221 North, Rutherfordton location.
