Rutherfordton named outstanding small town

The Town of Rutherfordton was recently named the 2016 Outstanding Small Town by the North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center. The Town was recognized for its work in connecting with citizens and the community through branding, marketing, signage and increased social media as well as partnering with other organizations and redeveloping downtown buildings.
