Sammy Lee Hardin, age 67

Sammy Lee Hardin, age 67 of Bostic, died September 21, 2021.

Sammy was born in Rutherford County on October 6, 1953, and he was a son of the late Thomas McDaniel and Marie Hardin McDaniel. Sammy was a carpenter and handyman, and worked for years as a dispatcher for Hardin Trucking Company. He was also a member of Concord Baptist Church.

Family was deeply important to Sammy, and he loved every minute they spent together, especially his five grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Hugh Hardin.

Survivors include his wife, Wendy W. Hardin, sons, David Hardin and wife Jennifer of Covington, LA, Andy Millard and wife Stacey of Forest City, daughter, Carrie McBrayer and husband Jay of Rutherfordton, brothers, Allen Hardin of Shelby, Tommy Joe Hardin of Spindale, Robert Hardin of Forest City and Dan Hardin of Rutherfordton, sisters, Billie Leslie of Easley, SC and Glenda Cater of Pickens, SC, 5 five grandchildren.

A memorial service was held September 25, 2021, at Concord Baptist Church with the Rev. Travis Laflin and Rev. Sam Burleson officiating.
