Sandra Ruth Summey, age 66

Sandra Ruth Summey, age 66 of Rutherfordton passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017.

She was a native of Rutherford County and is a daughter of Ruth Cole Womack of Forest City and the late Carl "Moe" Womack. Sandra was a member of Florence Baptist Church, a 1968 graduate of East Rutherford High School and had attended Isothermal Community College. She had also worked for Bi-Lo and Ingles Grocery Stores. Her husband, John Summey preceded her in death in 2014.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a sister, June Sims and husband Andy of Rutherfordton, a brother, Carl Daniel Womack of Forest City as well as two uncles and a great-aunt.

Funeral and committal services were held in the chapel at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Bobby Gantt officiating
