Shirley Ann Lane Ramsey, age 73

Shirley Ann Lane Ramsey, age 73 of Spindale passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019. She was born September 11, 1945 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Lewis and Annie Mae Freeman Lane. Shirley worked for many years at Stonecutter Mills and was a homemaker.

She was a member of Sandy Level Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the church choir. Shirley was a graduate of East Rutherford High School.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, James Ramsey, two daughters, Connie King and husband Blake of Forest City, Julie Greene and husband James of Spindale, a brother, Don Lane and wife Sandra of Spindale, a sister, Brenda Hammond of Forest City as well as three grandchildren.

The funeral service was held in the Sandy Level Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made in her name to Sandy Level Baptist Church, 1047 Sandy Level Church Road, Bostic, North Carolina 28018.
