Shirley Brown Collins, age 83

Shirley Brown Collins, age 83, of Ellenboro, Passed away Friday, January 1, 2021.

She was the daughter of the late Reverend Johnnie Lee and Dora Rhodes Brown and a native of Rutherford County.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Hoyt Vernon Collins Sr., two brothers; J.D. Brown and Daniel Brown and one sister Marie Greene.

Shirley is survived by Two daughters; Tanya Early (Gary) and Cynthia Jones, two sons; Hoyt Collins Jr. and Sam Collins (girlfriend Kathi), one sister Jean Hamilton, nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

The funeral service was held at Race Path Baptist Church.

Interment was private. Memorials may be made to Fair Haven of Forest City at 830 Bethany Church Rd. Forest City, NC 28043.
