Shirley Butler Bailey, age 76

Shirley Butler Bailey, age 76, of Forest City, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022.

Shirley was born August 1, 1946 in Rutherford County to the late Robert Guy Butler and Frankie Ola Bailey. She was a graduate of East Rutherford High School. Shirley served as Assistant Deputy Clerk in the Rutherford County Clerk of Courts office until her retirement. She was a member of Floyd's Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Roy Bailey; son, Roger Bailey and wife, Tonya; daughter, Lora Crowder and husband, Steven, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held August 9 at Floyd's Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Carnell officiating.
