Shirley Lail Davis, age 82

Shirley Lail Davis, age 82, of Ellenboro, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022.

Shirley was born October 4, 1940 in Cleveland County to the late Claude William Lail and Gladys Taylor Lail. She was a member of the last graduating class of Cliffside High School, class of 1959. Shirley worked as a secretary for Cliffside Elementary School for 31 yearst. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandson Tyler Davis and a brother Donnie Lail.

Left to cherish fond memories are her husband of 63 years, Eugene Davis; son, Gary Davis (Susie) of Ellenboro; daughter, Debbie Bailey (Darryl) of Tryon; brothers, Sherman Lail (Creola) of Shelby and Gene Lail (Gaynell) of Clover, SC; two grandchildren.

The funeral service was held October 15 at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Frazier officiating.
