Shirley Stanley Honeycutt, age 90, of Forest City

Shirley Stanley Honeycutt, age 90, of Forest City, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

Shirley was born September 1, 1935 in Spartanburg County, SC to the late Lacy Stanley and Essie Blackwell Stanley. She worked for Stonecutter and John H. Montgomery Mills for several years and later retired from Michelin Tire Manufacturing. Shirley was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Charles Honeycutt; a grandson, Jason Seagle; five brothers and one sister.

Those left to honor her legacy include her son, Donald Honeycutt (Jane) of Rutherfordton; daughters, Becky Seagle of Harris, Diane Robbins (Wayne Jones) of Ellenboro, Debra Honeycutt of Harris; her grandchildren, Manuel Seagle (Michelle), Stephen Raya (Sally), Nick Raya, Kendra Harmon (Jody), Chelsea McQueen (Stephen), Greata Honeycutt and Brian Honeycutt; 10 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

The funeral was held August 3 at Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ernie Cole officiating.
