Sophia Ann Williams Allen

Sophia Ann Williams Allen, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2017.

She was born on August 5, 1948. Sister Sophia Allen was a member of True Vine Church where she served as Head Usher over the kitchen, flowers, and birthday cards. She was also on the Trustee Board. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Bell and Fred Williams, husband Edgar Lee Allen, sister Dorothy Lee Williams, and granddaughter.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories children Elaine Allen Nelson and spouse David Nelson of Greenville; Sandra Allen of Rutherfordton; Jermaine Allen of Rutherfordton; Trudy Allen of Charlotte, and Joshua Allen and spouse Alexis Allen of Rutherfordton; ten grandchildren; three sisters; Deloris Lowrance, Zelma Williams and Patty Williams; three brothers Bobby Joe Williams, Steve Williams and Fred Williams; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, and friends.

Funeral services were held at Crowe's Funeral Chapel. Sophia was laid to rest in the True Vine Church Cemetery.

Crowe's Mortuary is assisting the family.
