Spencer Adam Weeks, 83

Spencer Adam Weeks, 83, of Rutherfordton passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

Born June 2, 1939 he was the son of Adam Weeks and Laura Jane GoForth Weeks.

Spencer is survived by his wife Louise Weeks, daughters Sherry Suttle and Jenny Yelton (Wesley) both of Rutherfordton; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, brother Kenneth Weeks of Valdese; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Gale Weeks Hurt, brother Johnny Weeks and son-in-law Kenneth Ray Suttle.

Spencer was an alumni of Mount Vernon School. He greatly valued education and went on to receive a B.S. degree from Western Carolina University, a Forestry degree from the University of Georgia, and a Masters in Adult Education from Appalachian State University.

He was a member of Brittain Presbyterian Church.

The funeral was held September 15 at Brittain Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ted Grant officiating.
