Susie Harrill Arndt, age 81

Susie Harrill Arndt, age 81, passed away Friday, August 21, 2026.

Susie was a retired Registered Nurse who spent much of her career caring for residents of group homes.

A native of Rutherford County, NC; she was a daughter of the Late James and Edith Moore Harrill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Arndt; brothers, Donald Harrill and wife Millicent, Richard Harrill, and Doug Harrill.

She is survived by her son, "Lin" John Olin McDougall, II; grandchildren, "Jack" John Olin McDougall, III, Madison Salyer McDougall, Thomas Pierson Harrill McDougall; a niece, several nephews, and many friends.

A celebration of Susie's life was held August 23 at Crowe's Funeral Chapel with Rev. Marie Graeper officiating.
