Terrie Denise Griffin, age 38

Terrie Denise Griffin, age 38 of Rutherfordton, died November 4, 2021.

Terrie was born on July 27, 1983, in Rutherford County.

She was a graduate of R-S Central High School, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from UNC-Asheville. Terrie had worked as a Juvenile Justice Office for the State of North Carolina before becoming disabled. She also enjoyed working for the Medicine Box in Rutherfordton.

Terrie was a member of West Point Baptist Church.

Survivors include her mother, Starlyn Philbeck and husband Craig of Rutherfordton, father, Terry Griffin and wife Karen of Rutherfordton, sisters, Anna Burgess and husband Justin of Ellenboro, Jennifer Griffin and Haley Griffin both of Rutherfordton, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held November 7, 2021, at West Point Baptist Church with Rev. Lance Scarlet officiating.
