ReachingROCO, a local media company and the first youth and young adults publication in Rutherford County, is proud to announce the launch of its highly awaited Summer 2023 Graduate Edition. Now available at www.ReachingROCO.com, the edition highlights the remarkable achievements and inspiring stories of local students.

ReachingROCO's mission is to advocate for Youth, Young Adults, and Those Who Guide Them. They seek to represent the middle ground between honoring their home roots while lifting the next generation into the future. ReachingROCO aims to inspire change and build a better community.

The issue features heartfelt articles from the pens of ReachingROCO's apprentices, all of whom are Rutherford and Polk County students. Readers will find unique stories and interviews with students detailing their struggles and triumphs, as well as their celebration of the mentors and resources that guided them along the way. Spotlights include community resources, local nonprofits, small businesses, and more.

"Launching this Graduation season with our premier magazine issue has us brimming with excitement," expressed RJ Aiken, founder of ReachingROCO and a renowned community activist. "The dedication and effort put forth by our students and contributors deserves recognition."

The magazine not only promotes student work but also acknowledges the mentors who guided these apprentices, providing constructive feedback and assistance as needed. The cover of the issue displays the talented work of Emma Greene, a featured photographer and local small business owner in Rutherford County.

Fountain Electric, the presenting sponsor of this issue, has generously purchased a copy of the magazine for each graduating senior in Rutherford and Polk counties. Dylan Henson, Director of Community Relations at ReachingROCO, praised this gesture, saying, "this invaluable opportunity for graduates who may not [be able to] afford the magazine is possible thanks to Fountain Electric's belief in the next generation."

In another exciting announcement, ReachingROCO will give away $1,000 to two lucky Rutherford or Polk County graduates in the form of two $500 certificates. The drawing will occur live on ReachingROCO's Facebook and their YouTube channel on June 25 at 7:30 PM. To participate, graduates can register on ReachingROCO.com by completing the survey. The winners will be contacted on June 26.

ReachingROCO encourages community members to support these student apprentices as they commence their next adventures.

"As we embark on this journey, we'd like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our community members for their unwavering support," Aiken said. "ReachingROCO remains committed to empowering the youth and young adults, nurturing hope, and fostering a positive vision for our county's future."
